The United Nations Children’s Fund – UNICEF

UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to promote the rights and wellbeing of all children, from birth through adolescence. We have a clear purpose to help overcome the obstacles that poverty, violence, adversities, disease and discrimination place in a child's path to fulfill their potential.

UNICEF works with partners to ensure greater access to quality, integrated and inclusive services and programmes for all children, especially the most vulnerable. We supports measures to give children the best start in life, because proper care at the youngest age forms the strongest foundation for a person's future. We act so that all mothers and newborns have access to quality health care, that children are immunized against preventable diseases and are well nourished. We support policies and programmes to ensure all children grow up and learn in a safe and nurturing environment, protected from violence and other childhood adversities. We support access to quality and inclusive education because it benefits all children, both girls and boys, to become better thinkers, better citizens, and better parents to their own children. We empower adolescents and young people to develop the transferable skills and mindsets they need to thrive in tomorrow's world. In every sector we work with partners to co-create innovative solutions that accelerate progress for children and young people.

The world is forever changing, but children's needs remain the same. Wherever they are. Whoever they are. Whenever they need support. UNICEF remains committed to act for every child. Find out more about UNICEF in North Macedonia.
